The new region is called 'Isshu' in Japan and it's going to be more modern than the rest of the games. It's implied that the region is a foreign place that can only be accessed by boat or airplane.

Pokemon's been dead since Generation II, guys. Look, they're not going to be the same cute little pokemon everyone's going to remember. If you don't want change, play the old games. Sheesh, you guys complain about everything and it drives me crazy. Be proud of the change, and if you aren't, go play the old games by downloading ROMs. <_<

not realy complaining i mean pokemon is an ongoing franchise and the ideas for itscreatures were originaly taken from nature in the form of animals and some inanimate objects too as the franchise grew and new versions were released they had to step out of the bracket, and begin drawing ideas from mythology and popular culture, so theres hope yet its too early to say, and im not someone that adverse to change, progress is unstoppable. just go with the flow.

I didn't like 4th gen at first...but now I'm so used to it. The same will happen here :p

I agree with Paradox. Infact, I like the new dimensions and change to
the starters. It's like a breath of fresh air for me. I also think that the Snoman // Piplup thing is cute, the Spoink // Turtwig thing is awsome, and the Treeko thing looks quite smex. :3

I'm sure most of us are used to change, especially with..."this". But theres obviously a level/ so much we can take. Kinda like how I refuse to even play Pokemon Black/ White. Originally, the only thing I saw from it was Zoroak (sp?), and that was about it. Now seeing the starters...dear god. I for one was used to this kind of unbearable change when it started from D/P/Pt.

Just give us the R/S/E remake without the stupid National Dex instead. I think we'll all be satisfied then.

I just have to say (not only to you advent, but to all who are jumping on the 'this gen is going to be horrible' bandwagon)...what if the first pokemon that was revealed for 3rd gen was feebas?



I mean...what would you even think? We've seen 5 pokemon so far. They still have time to wow us, and I'm sure they will.

There is going to be a mix (as always) of cute pokemon, cool/awesome pokemon, ugly/weird ones, and so forth. It's just how they do things. Who knows? The final forms of these starters could turn out to be your favorites.

That was my impression mainly for the D/P/Pt series. I still didn't like them either. Their first AND last evolutions. I didnt like the flaming monkey, the continental turtle or the penguin in the suit of armor.

i think the new pokemon are good. yea sure a little different but different is good. if you guys arent ready for change then stay in the past while we true pokemon loving people will move on to play these new versions to enjoy every minute of it. i know i will. and its also a new region which is awesome. they always add things to it. so think of it as a good thing

I for one, completely agree with you - and with Clover. I am sure I will like // dislike Pokemon in this region. Such as in Kanto, I ADORED Jynx, but hated the Charmander line. In G//S//C, I loved Yanma, but hated Tyranitar, and so on, and so forth.

But really. If someone hates the starters, then they hate the starters. But don't call the generation a failure yet ;^;!
