Standard Tourney Rules 10/08/09

It's fine to have more than one item. At one point, I believe I had a rule there that said no duplicate items, but I'm just leaving it out for this tournament.

As for Destiny Bond, some places allow it, and others don't. As griffin said, it isn't really a 1HKO move as you have to wait until your Pokémon is KO'd for it to take effect. You are fine to use it in this tournament!

With all rules, if it gets to be a problem in the future, we can edit the 'standard' rules of tournament play.

why no garchomp?

it's put in the uber group b/c it's overall stats are so high

I am currently working on getting a Shoddy server together with DX....so soon you'll be able to battle people without a nintendo DS and wifi connection :3!!!

I'm currently awaiting a reply from someone in the technical support forum to address my issue, and then it will be ready.

The server will be available through my computer (and possibly another person's computer for backup)

All you would have to do is download shoddy battle, then log into our server. Eventually it will be put on the list, but in the mean time there would just be a number you would have to enter to log onto the server. Every one will get their own screen name and password, and it will save your team data :3!

Try downloading the program. Chuklae made a post about it in Pokemon game guides I believe.

It's really simple. You just pick any pokémon from a list, then save a team. You can have multiple teams saved and you can edit there move sets extensively.

Sorry for "reviving" the topic, but are we still going to have no luck items? I'm pretty sure I don't want a Jirachi with Iron Head hitting me with King's Rock on. So are we going to change it or not?

was it only a one day thing? cuz i realy want to do some competitive battling and earn some rep

Personally I think pokemon that rely on no luck or skill (such as flinch Jirachi and other serene gracers) should be banned as well as pokemon who under stealth rock and spikes will just whirlwind/roar until you have no possible to counter it especially when its such a sturdy pokemon as Skarmory that just cannot be killed unless chance brings you to the one (usually) pokemon in your team that bring it down

But, of course people using these pokemon will have some argument for using them..

What about sleep clause... u don't want ur opponent to send ur whole team to sleep, also what about species clause and freeze clause.... fully plan out your whole tourney then PM it to Clover that way everything is under control ^^ also think about the prizes etc.

If it's DS, Freeze Clause cannot be prevented since it's basically a chance that you inflict freeze.

i dont mind freze just sleep and ohko and it will be a double 6 vs. 6 tourney at level 100
