maybe Cubone was angry and killed its mom, Kangashan, then put on the moms skull and then it got stuck. Remember that the skull has to fit on it's head.

Cubone has no relation to Kangaskhan. It is a mere coincidence with old sprites.

Well, here's how I think about it.
Originally, there was a Khangaskhan and its baby. The mother died and the baby used its mother's skull. Afterwards, the baby evolves into something new as it grows on...and it becomes a new Marowak. You know...adaption and...that other word I forgot... So some of the Khangaskhan babies don't use its skull, which explains how there's still Khangaskhan. If you think about how small the baby is, it shouldn't...really be able to battle if you think about it. NO OBJECTIONS WITH "BUT SHOWERS IGGLYBUFF/TOGEPI/ETC. : P
Dere. I think it's true~

You know, the more I think about this, the more plausible it seems.
The skull Cubone's wearing does look a lot like the shape of a Kangaskhan's head.
And their bodies do look a lot alike. I can definitely can see the progression in of how a Cubone could evolve into a Marowak and then into a Kangaskhan... The contour of the body, the claws forming on the hands and feet... the color... the stomach... They do seem quite similar.

The thing is, though, that in the games, the Ghost that turned out to be Cubone's mother in the Pokemon Tower was a Marowak, not a Kangaskhan... If the mother really were a Kangaskhan, they would have the perfect opportunity to tell us there. And they didn't. So I can't sit well with thinking that it's the truth because if they released that now, it would be a huge flaw in continuity.
Maybe they were thinking about doing it before and just decided not to.

Also, Cubone / Marowak are pure Ground type and Kangaskhan is pure Normal type. Why would a Ground type turn into a Normal type?

I started thinking about this again because this was on myy Tumblr dashboard:

They can still introduce the whole theory, because who knows how long ago it was when the first Cubone lost it's mother?

Also, maybe the skull gets longer and narrower when Marowak evolves because 1) he's growing his head into it and pressing up against it; 2) it gets smoothed out from erosion as years go by? You can also see that Marowak is forming a little bump on its tail, similar to Kangaskhan. I can't imagine why the bone would got larger, though? Unless he went back and began using a new one?

Aw sad comic Sad I could see them, as you said, thinking about using this idea, then ultimately not using it (for whatever reason, maybe it was too 'morbid' for the kiddies?)

Pokémon pretty much defy the rules of evolution, so a bone helmet somehow fusing to its head and becoming smoother isn't that improbable!

Also, Pokémon Red/Blue had some creepy stuff in it *stares at violet town* o_o

Do you mean Lavender Town? ^_^
There's a Violet City in G/S/C and HG/SS, but not in Red or Blue.

I agree, though!

lol yeah, they are extremely alike o_O

I think it could be possible considering kangaskhan is only female, where did she get her baby?!?!

I had to think about it, but lifeless items tends to evolve around some Pokemon, for example Cubone, Kadabra and Machoke. So it's no surprise in that department.

Honestly I think its coincidence (or lazyness from the designers, from the sprites at least, using the same design).

There is no point applying logic, as it is pokemon, the fact that Kanganskan is born with a baby in its pouch isn't any stranger than most of the other things in pokemon.

but who knows maybe they will make a connection in a future gen, if it was intended.

My sister Rebecca wanted me to get her a black wedding dress for her wedding, yesterday, the only problem is that I couldn’t seem to find any “black wedding dresses;” every store I had been to didn’t carry black wedding dresses. Also she told me she wanted a black wedding dress because to her black looked better than white, I don’t come from a Goth family or that, it was just that my sister wanted me to get her a black wedding dress because it looked better than white. I left my house and started walking to the store, when I got to the store I walked in and looked for a black wedding dress but could seem to find any. A heavier looking fellow approached me and said “Hi how may I help you?” I replied with “You wouldn’t happen to have any black wedding dresses now would you?” He replied with “Little boy there are no such thing as black wedding dresses, black is usually worn to funerals.” I said “Don’t you dare call me a little boy, you f*cking a$$hole.” “Get the f*ck out my store, you little punk!” He came at me and tried to kick me out of his store, he ran at me, when he came at me, I grabbed him and then threw him into the wall, he hit the wall and ran at me again, when he came at me I hit him in the face; he then tried hitting me in the face so I grabbed his fist and kicked him in the face, I then grabbed his neck and held him against a wall. He gave a strange look, I said to him “old man, you have no idea about weddings, you have no idea, now do you.” he replied with “green eyed kid.” He fell to the ground and was knocked out cold. I then walked out the the store and left, I said “How could no one carry any black wedding dresses I mean they are not Satanic, I guess I shouldn’t have bothered.” I then went home with melancholy and couldn’t think straight because I realized that where I live (Ohio) they never carried black wedding dresses. Summer boasts of more weddings than any other time of year and if you are having summer beach wedding it will surely leave you with beautiful memories of a tropical, relaxed event for many years to come. If you are planning to have summer beach wedding, you will have to do proper planning before buying a wedding dress. Choosing a summer Beach Wedding Dresses are a bit different as compared to shopping for a dress for a traditional wedding. More Cheap Beach Wedding Dresses, Casual Beach Wedding Dresses from GoodGoodsChina.com. Black wedding dresses aren't very common, so you would have trouble finding them in stores, although you may be able to find some businesses that will dye a dress black for you (i don't live in Ohio so I can't recommend any). Of course it would be less risky to buy a black prom dress, or if you type in "black wedding dress" on ebay, there are several new dresses that you can buy, that look very nice and formal enough for a wedding. Good luck, and I like how you have written your question, it reminds me of the catcher in the rye, and I mean that as a compliment. I hope your sister has a good wedding! I don't know! I've never seen one personally, but I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is "yes". Anything is possible especially with different tastes and preferences out there. Good luck to you.
