Spring ~ the time of new beginnings...and you know what that means? Our Baby Pokémon Tournament is here!!! Here are the rules for this tourney:

All pokemon must be Lv. 5 or under (remember to select 'free level' not 50 or 100)
All pokemon must be under 100 lbs
All pokemon must be basic and be able to evolve.
Standard tournament clauses & rules apply.
Dragon Rage and Sonicboom are banned moves!!!

Also, can you ban the moves Dragon Rage and Sonicboom? It will literally destroy people. =/

So wait for example can I use Pokemon such as Chimchar Piplup, Charmander, Turtwig?

im in , im new here but im best at little cup battles so ill join this tourny

um the pokemon Scyther, Yanma, Sneasel ,Meditite, Murkrow and Tangela are all over powered in a tournament like this i realize this isent an actual little cup tournament but these are considered uber in that tier and for good reason, i suggest that they not be allowed to participate in this tournament as they can be extremely deadly at level 5 often OHKing with little prediction

Scyther is over 100 lbs, so he wouldn't be allowed.
As for the others, if anyone else would like to have consensus on this, please post!!

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I was originally thinking no TMs/HMs....just what the Pokémon can learn by level 5 and by egg moves. I can be persuaded though, as you know :p

Pokemon can still learn TMs through breeding. I have no problem with this. I mean, I don't want like a Swords Dance Pokemon use Tackle. <_<

these are the standerd play bye rules in the littlecup format:


* The Pokémon must have hatched from an egg.
* The Pokémon must be able to evolve.
* The Pokémon must be the earliest evolution stage obtainable.
* The Pokémon must be at Level 5.
* The Pokémon must not be on the Ubers list.

Species Clause - Only one Pokémon may be on a team from each species.

Ubers - The following are banned from use in Little Cup:

Scyther
Yanma
Sneasel
Meditite
Murkrow
Tangela

Items and Moves:

Items: Pokémon in Little Cup are allowed to hold items, as in any Pokémon match. The "Item Clause" is not in effect in Little Cup, multiple teammates can hold the same item. The items Deepseatooth and berry juice are banned.

Moves: Pokémon in Little Cup can use (nearly) any move available to them at Level 5; for non-genderless Pokémon this includes level up moves. Sonicboom and Dragon Rage are both banned moves.

OHKO Clause - Moves that score a guaranteed "One-hit-KO" on the opponent, such as Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, Guillotine, or Fissure, are banned.

Battle Mechanics:

Sleep Clause - Only one Pokémon can be put to sleep by an opponent at a time, per team.

Self-KO Clause - If an opponent uses Self destruct or Explosion with their last Pokémon, they lose the game regardless of the number of Pokémon remaining on the other team

this should answer alot of questions though i dont know if we are playing by every rule, but shaymin dosn't fit into most of the categories so therefore cant be used. Tm/Hm and move tutors are acceptable in littlecup battles, however theses are just guidelines and this site is the final say on all of these rules not me

Just one more and we can have a perfect 8-player tournament.
