I can already see a few things wrong with this (mainly with items, some movesets being too limited and not having variety), although I'm still unsure as to how I can fix this. I'm also trying to limit it and NOT use any Legendaries. Often I may switch my parties between both parties.

seems fairly good, but picking moves also depends on stats of poke

My party is generally in the high 70s - 100s, so their stats vary from being 200 and over.

i.e.

Leafeon
ATK 253
DEF 308
SP ATK 148
SP DEF 192
SPEED 232

Charizard
ATK 247
DEF 209
SP ATK 282
SP DEF 203
SPEED 225

it would be better if your leafeon had physical attacking moves since it has a higher attack than sp attack and reverse for your charizard~

I would give Infernape Flare Blitz, but it can also learn Fire Punch via Move Tutor in Platinum. Close Combat is also good since it has the same base power as Focus Blast and it has 100% accuracy while Focus Blast has 70%.

With Pikachu, 4 electric moves is indeed bad. I'd at least switch Thundershock with Grass Knot if you have one. Move Ground-types are quite heavy and you could perhaps OHKO them if they're heavy enough.

Typhlosion with Thunderpunch is good, so you could use that.

I don't have Platinum, so...I guess Fire Punch is out of the question (unless there is a TM). Initially I made him forget Flare Blitz cause of the recoil and the fact he would probably get owned on the next turn if he couldn't do a critical hit/ K.O.
I know at one point I taught it Solar Beam...

Yeah, I agree Pikachu had bad movesets (although I was pretty sure I had Thundershock replaced with something else...hmm...). I do indeed have Grass Knot. Question: Would a steel attack (i.e. Iron Tail) also be a good move?

I still have a Surfing Raichu (evolved by accident) which probably covers more for its weakness.

I'm still trying to find a Thunder Punch TM for Typlosion..

Steel type moves are okay, it's just that you don't often see an Ice-type Pokemon battle Pikachu. Iron Tail is pretty powerful, but, alas, the accuracy is bad. Sad

Nice Raichu. Surf + Iron Tail covers some similar types, but you are also super effective against Ice and Fire. Though Thunder is a little scary with its 70% accuracy.

I'm still trying to find a Thunder Punch TM for Typlosion..

Thunderpunch isn't a TM in Generation III-IV, but it is in G/S/C. Sad

Hmm...I just found out there is an NPC teaching this move.
There are 3 guys in Battle Frontier (in a house below the PKMN Center) teaching various moves.

One of them teaches Thunder/ Fire Punch for 64 BP;
