Tourney without Elites/Gym Leaders?

I would like to get some feed back from our members on this topic.

I'm curious if people would be MORE interested in joining a Pokémon tournament if Gym leaders and/or Elites weren't allowed.

I'm only suggesting this for certain tourneys, not all. It would basically give a chance for newer trainers to try their luck and not feel intimidated by Elites or Gym leaders.

i dont think its such a good idea

personally id want to compete more if there were gym leaders and elites in the tourneys. the tougher the more worth it is if you win, and youl learn something even if ya dont

i see where reao is coming from, but i want the newer trainers to have a chance tobuild up to face us. by fighting others

I also chose that it was a good idea!

its ture they need people at their level to battle againts too,soo i guess its kinda two sided its all about what their in the Tourney for.

I feel it would be a suitable idea. would probably get Showers and the like to even join finally.

well, there should be two tourneys in one day. one for really good people in battling and the number 2: starters who just played pokemon or don't feel confident enough to go far and try to beat one of the e4 and gymleaders.

Thats impossible, tournaments are way to much work to even have one in a day. And im with rezna and dx i thinks itll help trainers just starting or that arent very confident

I hate to be a normal battler, winning all the way, when suddenly some trainer with uber24/7 skills kicks my butt and knocks me out of the tourney

We're not noobs at Pokemon Tournaments. We'll ban Uber Pokemon for sure. <_<

The only way we could do a tourney in one day, is to spontaneously start it in the xat chat when there are a bunch of people who can be on for at least an hour or so.

Do you know uber has another meaning? It generally means super-strong. I meant the trainer was super strong, not the Pokemon used. Basically strategically, in predictability, and counterability, they may be the best out there. :scratch:

Yes, I do know Uber has another definition. And if you knew the definition, it doesn't mean "super strong", it means better than. It's not the same thing or anywhere close. <_<

Technically, it doesn't mean 'Super Strong' unless you said it's "überstrong". You only said "Uber 24/7 skills" which means "Super skills" or 'Super all-the-time Skills', which is different than 'Super Strong' since Strength and Skill is different. Strength means 'vigor' while Skill means 'expertness'. So, in theory, I'm right and you're half right.

Nah, it wouldn't be all that often ^_^; maybe just once every couple of months or so.
