Queen Sabrina and the Gem of Hope
Prologue
The sun was low in the sky that day. In a large castle a young girl hung her head as she looked out over a balcony. A tear streamed down her face and suddenly, the door behind her opened. "You're late for dinner. You do not want another trip to the Toy Box do you?" the figure in the doorway said in a lonely, far off voice. "N-nn-no Mother," the girl stuttered nervously. Her body turned with out the consultation of her mind and it began to walk toward her mother in a most robotic way. "Come downstairs now child," the woman spoke again, this time her voice not lonely, but cold and fierce. "Your father is becoming impatient." The girl was hesitant to say that her father was in no way in control of himself, but she was too afraid that the same consequence would come to her. She reluctantly followed the woman down the steps and into the kitchen. A man sat at the table, a dazed, empty look in his eyes. He sat silent, saying absolutely nothing, moving not an inch. "Get the food off the stove," she ordered the man, "Then prepare our dinner." The man did so, in a robotic fashion and he placed the plates on the table one for each of them. "Now, let us begin."

Meanwhile, in Pallet Town a young, aspiring Pokemon trainer was heading to the lab to meet with Professor Ketchum, or as the boy called him, his father. His father had told him countless stories of his past, including those of the Isshu region. Many of the stories included the child's mother, Misty Ketchum. Misty was kind and she nurtured the Water-Type Pokemon that swam by each day on their regular route, coming from where Cinnibar Island is. The child was a boy, but he also had a younger sister, Alyssa. The boy was hiking up the hill to what was once Professor Oak's Lab, but it had been rebuilt. Gary, being the descendant of Samuel Oak was meant to be the new Professor, but Gary refused, for some reason unknown to anyone in Pallet Town. But, the boy traveled up the hill and knocked on the door and awaited his father to open it.
