Custom Tier for PO

Here, just post your ideas of pokemon to be put in a new, custom tier that aren't in OU.

My ideas:
Latias
Garchomp(for Dragon Gym leaders)

Post your ideas please. Do not spam saying: "LATIAS IS UBER, IT WILL STAY UBER" etc...

Technically, that isn't considered spam.

First off, there are some flaws in your idea.

First, you have no tier name. Second, have you figured out how you would implement this tier? Third, what purpose will this tier serve?

Are you asking to have a 'tier' where those two pokemon aren't considered uber?

Sort of. On another server, they have a tier giving like 3 ubers OU status pretty much. I also want other ideas.

You can't have a special tier for it. Either your Gym plays in Ubers or your forcing everyone to make a special team. A Special team used for one match is just an inconvenience for everyone.

Also your trying to pitch a broken tier since Garchomp and Latias are pretty much broken in the Overused tier reason for kicking them out. If you do add them everyone has to make a special team just to deal with those two new threats. Which is going to cause a huge shift in the movesets people use. Then'll we'll be back to having BlissSkarm the as the dominate walls. Everything one will have to carry at least one Ice sharder for YacheChomp. Making Weavile the dominate revenge killer. Taking just a huge step back in the metagame with even more limited variation of Pokemon. Everyone team would most likely be Blissey, Skarmory, Weavile, Infernape, Garchomp Or Latias and Tyranitar or Scizor. Since those are the only things that can really deal with them. Nobody is going to play it because every single battle will have to be the same just to have a chance of victory. You wouldn't know that if you didn't play the D/P OU metagame when just began.

I thought you mean a custom tier. Like invent a name for a tier that doesn't exist.

Can ppl just do what this thread was made for? Cladstn, this isnt for my gym. That's all I'm saying.

We're trying to understand what the need for an extra tier before we start actually making it.

Do you want people to just post random pokemon, then you'll group them and call it a tier?...........

I wanted for ppl to post Ubers or others that should have their own tier so an uber user can battle an OU user, but not have a big conflict. We could also post pokemon that should be banned from it too. But since no one will tak ethi sseriously, i just asked Kom to close this. Idk if he saw though...

But it's not fair, because Ubers are Ubers for a reason and if they are counted as OU then they wouldn't be expected and the opponent would be at a disadvantage.

and if you haven't noticed, what we're saying is completely serious. None of us just understand what the need is for a new tier.

Meap, the tier would have a topic here, saying what pokemon are in it, and what pokemon are banned/still banned.

The read the bottom, the metagame is just going to be stale. As in not fun to play in. If you want me to continue writing on why things will work out that way I will.

We don't NEED a new tier, but I think it'd be a good idea. Pokemon like Garchomp, that ppl use a lot can be included, but pokemon ppl think are broken can be banned. Understand now?

But why would others want that? Maybe you want that, but some people don't like ubers to be used in regular battle.

Then they don't have to go into the new tier. Some other ppl might like it, ok?

But why would you need a tier when you can just call it uber, seeing as you're just putting ubers into OU. If more people like this idea, why can't the people who like it get together and just have uber battles?

Because they are broken in the OVERUSED metagame. But if you want to play in that metagame its fine, trust me its not going to be fun.

Ok. So basically the ubers would battle OUs, but the ubers wouldn't be called ubers they'd be called something else to reduce conflict...

Unfortunately there would still be conflict.

Even if you don't label them as Uber, they will still have those higher stats, thus creating conflict with lower tiers

Maybe you could call it the SUSPECT tier. Sound familiar?

Seconded. That's like an alternate form of BL, anyway.

Perhaps we could truly make it interesting, though, instead of trashing the idea altogether.

We could make our own custom tier of pokemon that don't evolve and the mid-evolutions of pokemon that evolve twice. It wouldn't be all of them, but we'd pick the ones that can work well together. I.e. absol and chansey (though chansey's a freak) are both UU pokemon, even though chansey is not fully evolved.

Just to make a new tier for Itachi to make a team for, of course

Salamence shouldnt be uber, it can be beaten to eaisly and has many weaknesses it. it's stats are not even that great.
I think smogon is the dumbest thing ive ever seen, yes some pokemon should be uber, but others should not.
I hate smogon, you guys can argue with me but my opnion will never change. Anyone s welcome to use salamence or latias when fighting me

But yeah, Smogon does suck at tiers. Why does everyone bow down to them as if they are some sort of God? Pointless, IMO.
