Ok. So I'm going to EV an Impish Seedot, Impish boosts Defense and hinders SpA. So I was going to EV it in Defense and SpA(any other suggestions for me to EV it in let me know). So I'm going to give it PKRS, because I have a code for it. I am also going to give it the Power Belt(going to do Defense first). My question is: How many EV's would I earn for defeating these Pokemon a piece(EV points are in parentheses) Graveler(2), Geodude(1), and Gligar(1).

The guide says if it has PKRS, and I defeat a Geodude, which gives 1 DEF EV. It will give me 10 total EV's for Defense. Is this true or what? I really don't want to EV untill I get help with this problem.

Pokerus doubles the amount of EV's you get so for example Geodude will give 2 EV's. Think of it as a macho brace that can be obtained from Mauville except it doesn't use up an item space!

Why would you EV train a Pokémon in SP.A and Def, if it's nature hinders SP.A? The Sp.A would be very low after you EV train it. Wouldn't an Attack Shiftry be better?

Ok so EV it in Attack and Def?

Anyway, how many EV's does a Protein and Iron give?

So Graveler would give me 4 EV's if I defeat it?

here is my guide for EV training :3 Finally got it back up:

http://sweetcharm.net/PokemonSite/Daycare/EVguide.html

The vitamins are expensive, but give 100 EVs in a stat. (after a certain point it stops working though...I think its for the last 100 EVs?)
Protein=Attack
Iron=Defense

Gravler gives 2 points for Defense. If you have a power belt equipped, it will give 6 total EVs. If it has PKRS, you'll get 12.

Hope that helped!

So for Geodude, which gives 1 Point. With Power Belt i'll get 4 EV's. Plus PKRS.... 8 EVs?

So you're basically saying I should get a Seedot that has an attack boosting nature and characteritic? Or just the nature?

Geodude = 1
Power Belt = 4
PKRS = x2

so:

2(1+4)=10 per geodude ^^

And as for the EV distribution:
As other people are saying, Shiftry's attack is higher than his special attack so it'd be better to focus everything there and put nothing in special attack.

Yep, as even though if you EV train in Sp.A, with a hindering nature, the results would still be unsavoury. Maybe you could breed your Seedot until you find a nature which +Attack and -Sp.Attack? Or +Sp.A and -Attack? It's up to you.

EV's or Effort Values increase the stat of a pokemon. 4 Ev's give 1 extra stat. If you want more information there are loads of guids in The trainer School.

Note: This only applies if the pokemon is level 100.
