You know the feeling you have the next day after working out, right? Well, band today has been... a huge workout. I know I'm going to be very sore tomorrow... is there some way to prevent me being extremely sore tomorrow? Or at least less sore?

1.Soak yourself in hot water, or a bath. do you have a hot tub at ur house? Thats one way that would work. Just sit in there for awhile.
2. Get a massage.
2. Stretch what ever part of you is sore. your ganna want hold it for 10 seconds and get blood flooowing.
3. Take a pill, which is obvious.
5. If you dont want to do any of the above, take a long rest.

Im assuming its muscle soreness lol how much of a work out can band possibly be? as longas u enjoy urself i guess its okay

I love the sore muscles after a work out :3 It lets me know I did something good. (Unless it's one of those sharp shooting pains then you probably pulled something)

Anywho, honey is supposed to help muscles repair faster. Sometimes I eat a spoonfull or two : p

Barry's suggestions are also good. Stretching after the work out for 20-30 minutes is good to do, just don't push yourself too hard here. You can actually pull muscles stretching and it hurts even worse x_x

Yeah... like Clovey said, soreness is when your muscles rip because they're growing and your body is repairing them to make it bigger. Or something like that.

I am super sore at hockey, and it's a week long, so I just get sorer.... I have to work through it.

When you grow your muscles do that? sounds painful it hasnt happan to me.....yet, OMG THATS CREEPY.
It just sounds nasty, your muscles " ripping" I wanna know how painful this is now lol

Freshmen these days. Razz

I usually just take a hot shower and have a comfortable rest. Sore muscles = getting fit, so it's not that bad. If it gets awful tomorrow, take some pain killing pills like Advil.

i wouldn't recond pain pills they can become addicting

just strech before doing any kind of phisical work out

Do not use warm water!!!
thats the worst thing you can do!!!!!!!!!

Cold water, or hold ice against it to lower the swelling which is your soreness.

I've heard cold or ice is best for if you've actually injured yourself. It helps stop the swelling of the injured area.

Yah but soreness is basically the same thing as a muscle injury just extremely minor, because it actually is muscles tearing.

I see what you mean, but I usually go in the jacuzzi after a hard work out, and I've never had a problem with added soreness :3

Better get dat Protein Powder out.
Really though, I've tried most of those things after the workout, and the best thing you can do is stretch before a workout. In P-90X, we stretch for at least the first 20 minutes. Granted, that is a very long and obnoxious time to do it, but just focus on the muscles that you know you are going to use, and you should be fine. Just remember, the second day is always the worst.

OMG I want to try the p-90 thing!!! *wishes for a copy* XD How are the results on it?

you could take an ice bath!!!!!!! or ice/ice pack the places you hurt.
