Also, I have issues setting up servers for TF2. Can anyone do this successfully and have other players connect?

Hey guys. I'm sorry to say that I can't actively host because my Dad doesn't like me playing it. It also uses up a lot of bandwidth, a precious commodity in my house. If you check on the internet, you can find some information on setting a dedicated server up, or adivce on setting up a temporary. They know better than me. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Me again. If you guys want, I can try setting up a server sometime this or next week. If I can get it up, I'll tell you guys how it can be done. Please bear in mind that it will be a temporary, not a dedicated. Also, this co-admin business sounds interesting. Could we hear more about it?

Well, if you're able to get a server up....we'd just have to coordinate it for if we have some kind of a mini tourney with just DL members.

If you can get a server working, let me know. It'd only have to be up for like, a day or so depending on when we hold a mini tourney. But this is when we get more people involved ^^

I'll talk to my friend about which type of server we'll need for that, and how to do it. I'll have feedback for you by Sunday. Wish me luck!

Quick update. TO host 10 people on a server for an hour, it uses about 1 gigabyte of data. This means that I will probably only host for special reasons, since my monthly bandwidth is 90 gigs. I'm downloading the TF2 dedicated server software, and will have results by Sunday, as predicted. Have a good day people!

Ooh ok. Well maybe we can find another alternative. I don't want to kill your bandwidth!!

You could always rent or buy a server, but if noone is on, it's not worth it.
