jhoto staters

totidile cyndiquil or chikorita the qustion is what is the best one and what part are they most usefull kanto elite four 1&2 time jhoto or red i personaly think a balanced choice is the best and want to see if you know this im going off of marilands site so good luck

But, if you want to know, I personally think Chikorita is the best starter. Some people say it's the hardest, but a challenge is good right? Also, it has well balenced stats, so many attacks are good for it. You'll find that a Typhlosion is easier to defeat than a Meganium. There are also many good strategies for Meganium, such as Double Team+Leech Seed+Toxic.

Personally I've been more attached to water starters, so Totodile for me. Except Kanto, I like Charizard better. And Hoenn, where all the starters are epic.

I think cindaquil is the best, its speed and sp. Atk are amazing and it is pretty bulky too, my typhlo with the nature against it and not ev trained took a crap load of hits from eqers, and lances dragonite that was almost 10 levels higher, but I also like chikorita people don't like it because alot of the gyms are against it so you never get to see it shine, but if it's a mix meganium it will dominate in game with earthquake

Yeah meap chikorita FTW!!! I probobly like it most now just because I use typhlo wayyy to much, and because bayleef looks so awesome, it's also realy good in metagame, it's very underestimated but to me feraligatr is crap, I just use it every once in awhile so I don't get sick of chikorita

I personally love Chikorita :3~ But I also like grass types in general.

I think the whole point is that one starter isn't supposed to trump all of the others. Just make sure your team has varied types and you should be okay!

It doesn't matter as much on types as in speacial physical split, in the elite four or vs red you will get pwned if you don't have a good split because your probobly underleveled to begin with but when say reds snorlax stalls you out because you don't have a nice split, you don't need to care about types, if you can get the resitances in that's really good but you can't have like 5 speacials and only 1 physical, but usually it's not worth messing up the split for typing because being stalled out is definately not fun, it's okay to have something like a infernape and heatran even though that gets alot of weaknesses for those two son your back, that's why it takes a long time to make a team you have to think about your split, typing and stradegy

well youre right about every thing about balanced stats but totodile is more balanced and i was higher level than red and lance with totodile

I would say typhlo or meganium is more well rounded, feraligatr isn't good without dragon dance, which you probobly don't have on it, it's only good stats are defence and attack, but I would have to say meganium is the most well rounded, but I'd also say typhlo is better

well if you play to your strength feraligatr is good without dragon dance and mine has a great atack stat and almost all as high as attack

I started with a cyndaquil and used nothing else till it was level 100. To this day, in soulsilver, I have not been beaten once.

I would choose my starter and my starter from leafgreen that I migrated. It's a blastiose named Owen.

Probably one of my mixed attackers, since my starter is more of a defensive Pokemon.
