Black and White/Gen 5 Information Etiquette

I realize some people are taking a break from the forum due to all of the Gen 5 info floating about, but I thought I'd make a post about spoiler etiquette until the game is released in English anyways.

If you're making a post about Gen 5 info, please keep it limited to the PokéNews section.

You MUST put the word SPOILER in the header of the post regardless if the actual content is under a spoiler or not.

Try not to go too crazy with your signatures and avatars in regards to new Pokémon. For instance, something that scrolls through a bunch of gen 5 Pokémon will probably be taken down. This rule is a bit tricky, but please use your best judgment.

Please do not talk about Gen 5/Black & White gameplay in the xat chat. If you want to talk with others about the emulators, rumors, or other things having to do with Black & White, please go to the forumotion chat. It is located on the forum's main page (clover.forumotion.com/forum.htm) YES you may be temp banned or kicked if you don't comply! Sorry! Not everyone wants to hear about game details before it is released.

Can I have a sig of my team, they aren't really spoiler types. They're the water monkey + 1, Taja + 2, Yooterrie + 2, the Leopard evo of Choroneku, and the evo of Chillarmy?

Yes, I meant to add that game discussion is the only other place gen 5 info may be posted, as long as you state clearly that there may be spoilers.

Personally, I wouldn't have my gym team posted in my sig. It will be easy for people to analyze it, and make an easy counter ^_^; I'd suggest putting it in your profile. Besides, it wont be your gym team for another few months. (In PO anywho)

Also, if someone shows up with a team filled with perfect counters, I'd figure something was up.

Sorry, I just assumed it was your future gym team.
It's fine if you post it for critique, but I still think it opens up the potential for people to study it and make a counter.

If someone shows up with a team that has perfect counters...it's still their win. They just planned ahead XD

But that's just a little unfair. Sure, it'd be a win, but it would kinda be mean and the win wouldn't be a satisfying one.

Do you think you could archive that thread for me? It's in trainer school.

Also, I will most likely have a B/W section in the Zine. Just as a warning to people who are avoiding B/W, don't go to that page of the zine. But if you accidental do click on it, there will be a giant spoiler warning at the top and you'll have to scroll to see the content.

Why is it unfair? if you post your team out in the open where your challengers can see it...what do you expect them to do? Just ignore it?

Thanks jojo :3 I appreciate the cooperation. I'm really doing this for other people, since I enjoy reading or looking at some 5th gen info personally...

It's impossible to eliminate it 100% without turning into a freaky gen 5 nazi, but I think this will help things!
