Holy krow! High prices

Excuse me while I start a new rant


Well like any other kid would, I lost the original stylist to my DS XL not long after I purchased it last march. Both the big one, and the small one.
well..
After I lost them, I started using pens and I found that does more harm than it does justice so I went to Gamestop to get me stylist replacements.
Well...garrggh
A new set of stylist is TEN DOLLARS!I'm like, Oh my gosh are you kidding me? AND IT ONLY COMES WITH 1 BIG ONE AND ONE SMALL ONE. It's just sticks of plastic! The plastic that holds tic tacs is probably worth more and that only cost a dollar.
Nintendo better be lucky that I absolutly hate the feeling of somthing "missing" it just doesnt feel right to have somthing and not have the stylist for it, know what I mean?
That reminds me of several other game acessceries ( Excuse my fail spelling) That are high priced. DS cases are also ten dollars, at the most they should be 5! There nothing but very thin cases ( or the ones they sell here anyway)
and wii remotes ( I believe) are forty dollars, wich is kind of stupid since the consols is like $150, thats what my mom paid for it.

anyway yeah.....I guess nintendo has to make its money :/

Sounds like you don't understand how the world works. That's okay, I don't exactly get it either, but no matter what: The Big Guys are always going to charge you more than you think you should pay. You're not just paying for the plastic. You're also paying for a fraction of the money required to ship them or whatever. I don't know everything about it, but don't complain about the price until you know exactly how much money was spent on shaping and shipping the plastic. [/guessing]

I don't know, don't ask me. Just shut up and pay the money or search for a cheaper set.

I honestly forgot about shipping but its still crazy. hat about stuff you buy online? are you paying for shipping twice? one thats already in the retail price and another for them to ship it to you?

Well, yes what PF says its true, you need to pay for shipping, stocking, material and ze game/system itself. Most games/systems are judged by how many features they have and how good they are. That it why you see the high prizes on Pokemon games and low prizes on fail games like the Children of Mana ($9 dollars, seriously?)

because you don't get charge for the price of the matterials you are paying for the working hands and people who manufacture them also why buy a DSIXL? if you said you had the regular dsi i think.

Actually I'm always suprised stuff doesn't cost MORE (like your tic taks container example) As others have mentioned there is production cost, shipping, etc.....for this little tiny thing that we only pay around a dollar for.

But I agree that the stylus prices are crazy x_x!!!! I mean..MAYBE if it's one of those jumbo ones that has a little character at the end...but still.

You could probably find one used for like a buck at a gaming store. I'd have to double check that.

Because I only expected it like two dollars. Its hard to find them used, plus someone esles mouth has probably been on it
