Well the only advantage Pikachu has is speed, which only helps at lower level. XD

pikachu has more powerful moves such as volt tackle, and since croagunk has low defense compared to pikachus attack it might OHKO even without lightball

The only reason I voted Pikachu because of its stats and its strategy especially with Light Orb..

Well, all i see is Pikachu having an advantage in speed.
As powerful as Volt Tackle is, i dont think it could OHKO ... and does damage to pikachu itself.

Here's how i'm imagining this battle. Pikachu, with the speed it has, uses Volt Tackle. Doesn't quite kill Croagunk, and does damage to itself ... then croagunk uses earthquake and wins.

I think that speed helps at all levels. If it hits first every time, then it will do more damage.

But Loco is indeed correct. I believe that Croagunk would win.

the official test:
make a team with nothing but pikachus (different move sets are ok) and fight someone with a team that has nothing but croagunks.

you guys shoulda posted a move list cuz both types are neutral to each other, with pickachus decent attack stat and crogunk's low defence, plus pikachu trumps him with speed, it could go as a win for pikachu. but imma vote crogunk,

yes I know that I'm just saying that in order to test this, we need two people that can make it a solid fair fight.

There is absolutely no chance a croagunk can get through my pikachu's with their flawless stradegy, they might be able to defeat toxicroaks xD
