Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo unveils the next Handheld at E3; the Nintendo 3DS.

In an official release, Nintendo describes the portable as allowing games to be "enjoyed with 3D effects without the need for any special glasses". According to Nintendo, the product will go on sale between April 2010 and March 2011.

I guess this means we'll need to put on glasses on the go.

The Nintendo 3DS will succeeded the Nintendo DS series and will have backward compatibility for Nintendo DS and DSi games.

Again, this is the SUCCESSOR for the Nintendo DS; do not mistake it for the face cringing Nintendo DSXL or whatever it's called.

I won't bash it until... it's actually worth bashing and when I actually see what it looks like first.

Nintendo DS fans especially. Nintendo has acquired rights to STREAM NETFLIX FILMS on the Nintendo DS.

That sounds EPIC. I hope it's real, because it could just be a rumor you know ._. but still, that would make videogame HISTORY!

I misread the article; yes you do not NEED to glasses.

This is what happens when you skim through the article without reading all of it.

This sounds pretty innovative...I'm curious to see where they go with it.

Now I don't know if I should still invest in getting a DSi, or just wait x_x;; It says it's a completely NEW hardware...

Another DS? They just game out with the DSXL! Ugh.... what more can Nintendo do to ruin itself?

they JUST released the nintendo dsi XL NOT to replace the Dsi, BUT TO BE SOLD SIDE BY SIDE
you guys dont understand that, its NOT meant to be new. its sort of like a new color. Nintendo isnt ruining itself as somebody said above, its doing better and reaching more people.

The 3DS is an an actual new DS, THE ds XL was NOT. you guys new that before you vought it ( if u did) the 3ds is completly new hardware

so again, dont say anything bad about the system, because by you doing that, your making it worse then it actually is.

So I kept thinking the images were going to be 'projected' but I guess it's supposed to be more like this:



kind of cool o3o; I'm not sure how a Pokémon game would work though...maybe the battle scenes would make use of the moving around/3d effect? or maybe some items throughout the world would only be visible if you tile the screen a certain way...


Oh and take note the video just says this is how it 'could' look...so I don't know if it's confirmed or what.
