MARIO VS. SONIC [vote]

I don't think anyone has 'officially' discussed this yet, and I've been wanting to make some more character vs. character threads...so here we go!

Things to consider:
Don't compare an old version/game of one character to a new version/game. At least keep it in the same year-ish to be 'fair'.
Try not to let your love or hate for the companies they have come from get in the way of your judgments.

I vote sonic!!!
I like both companies so i have absolutly no problem with ether of them.
soic is epic, most people might disagree with me because his past game releases have been "diffrent" but i think there just expploring new things. Im hoping they make somthen like sonic adventure and adventure 2 again, I really liked those games ^^

As for Mario, I dont hate him, his games are fun to, I just perfer sonic

While I dislike both the choices as characters, I am saddened to see not a SINGLE vote for Mario.

But I'm glad that the best choice is the most popular choice ^_^

Sonic is cool, but I cant stand him >_> My vote goes to Mario (sigh...Childhood memories)

besides, I'll choose Ice Climbers before I ever choose Sonic in Brawl

wow mario's losing quite a bit o3o!!

I thought for sure people would reference his MASS amount of abilities (from Brawl, the mario RPG series, even mario paint XD and so on...)

Sonic is fast, and can run into you when he turns into a ball....but I feel like Mario would find a strategy to beat him despite his speed.

Mario would pwn sonic

I prefer Sonic. He's faster than the speed of sound, so before Mario knew it his ears would "explode" before he could react (thank you, sound barrier), he becomes invincible and as fast as light in his Super form (ignoring the SSBB time limit, that means he's like Goku except faster and weaker, and of course Mario has starpower but it doesn't increase his speed), and he has quills. Mario can't jump on spiky turtles, I don't think he can jump on Sonic, either. SSBB isn't canon IT DOESN'T COUNT. Plus, while in Mario coins do nothing, in Sonic the rings keep you alive. That's awesome.
Also I like hedgehogs. And Sonic spins.

Once Mario gets a magic paintbrush a la Shadow Mario in Super Mario Sunshine, then he wins. Otherwise, I'm sticking with Sonic, even if it's a direct ripoff of DBZ and Mario and other things.

Mario is too epic to lose in any matchups. XD

so what im getting from the votes are...

Sonice would START to win, then an apocalypse would occur, then everyone would get sandviches.

As my english teacher says: Mario would try to jump on Sonic. Sonic would curl up into a ball and Mario wuld get a spike thingy stuck in his foot. While Mario is jumping around in pain, Luigi would sneak up and pull Sonic's spine out. At that point, Mario would accidently jump off a cliff and die. Knuckles would engage in a fight with Luigi, while Tails sneaks up and steals everything they own. While Luigi and Knuckles are fighting and Tails is playing Luigi's DS in a corner, Red and InuYasha would form an alliance and throw Knuckles and Luigi off a cliff. Tails would see all that, and knowing he was next, Tails would ask to join Red and InuYasha's group. They later found all the awesome people in the world and started a team, which they called Team Dim Sun. They would later find out that the name was already taken, and force everyone in Team Dim Sun to join Team Dim Sun. Team Rocket members then decided to make their team a part of Team Dim Sun. Eventually, Team Dim Sun owned all things awesome, like waffles, the internet, and sausage. To his day, everyone awesome has a part of Team Dim Sun in them.
