Gym Leader Tournament - RESULTS ARE IN! 11/17/09

Title bouts once in a while might be intesting, but I'd rather have a gym leader who is VERY active, and battles all their challengers at least once a week then someone who steals the title, then never shows up on the forums again....know what I mean? We'll see how this goes.

But I AM going to cut the bracket down a bit :3

I know what you mean, we still do not know which members will be active and which not. And probably this will be the first tournament, mostly for testing, for meeting the others, and for sure many more will come.

Off-topic: The League can organise many types of Tournaments: baby, Uber/Ou/UU/NU/NFE/montype/1v1 and many more.

I know it might be a bit confusing, but if you look at the loser's bracket, you'd see the top place there is the final gym leader spot

While I was trying to come up with a concept for my gym I came up with an interesting idea that I wanted to run by all the gym leader hopefuls because it would be sort of a group effort.

I was thinking that since we are the "dream league" that maybe all of the names of the gyms could have something to do with dreams or sleeping. Things like the Rem gym or the nightmare gym or maybe the sandman gym. Things like that. It might give the dream league a better sense of unity if the gyms had a theme it was based off of. Of course your gyms would be whatever you want, but sandman might be good for a ground gym and nightmare for a dark or ghost type gym.

If this idea sounds stupid it won't hurt my feelings for you to say so. I'm running a bit low on sleep myself so that may be influencing my thought processes. It was just an idea I had and I thought I would pass it on.

I think griffin already had a name picked out for her gym, but I don't see why there couldn't be two titles. Griffinheart's Gym aka the whateverelse Gym.

Delusion
Daydream (fire maybe?)
Imagination
Illusion (for quick/speed based teams)
Mirage (for quick/speed based teams)
Thought (psychic)
Trance (psychic/ghost)
Fantasy

I thought of a reeaally innapropriate one for a water type gym, but I'll just keep that one to myself >_>;

actually and ironicaly, i tink i will go with ice types, so my title change to Frost ^^ and i'm ready but... i'm kinda intimidated by DXRenagade with all his tourny talk (lol) yea... i'll wait til the brackets fill up.

No need to be intimidated by me. I am just good at what I do. If I do make into the gym spots my type will be one of 4 (not sure which one yet) Those are Steel, Ground, Dragon, and Ghost.

Whichever one the league desires. So it shall be. For the future of the Dream League!!!

Oh that's good. Something like

The Meditation Gym, The gym of trances. or something like that. That sounds pretty epic I approve.

Also I thought of the water gym one as well, I just didn't want to say it either. Especially since I'm not looking to be the forum's resident perv.
