The Topic of Useless Information

I own a book called "The Book of Useless Information", and so I figure it'd be cool to have a topic where people could post those weird and pointless little tidbits, so here it is. I'll go ahead and post a few.

1. There is a law in Nebraska (no telling if it's still in effect) that says that "If you're wearing a hat that would scare a timid person, you cannot be seen eating onions in public."

2. Another Nebraskan law states that you cannot sleep naked. How they enforce that is beyond me.

3. Colgate toothpaste had trouble selling in one country, as Colgate in that contry's language translates into "Go hang yourself"

4. Coca-Cola was originally green (Yum...)

5. According to a British law passed in 1845, attempting to commit suicide was a capital offense. Offender could be hanged for trying. (REDUNDANCY!)

6. (And now, a holiday related one) Celebrating Christmas was once illegal in England.

7. It is against the law to stare at the mayor of Paris.

8. In Hartford, Conneticut, it is illegal for a man to kiss his wife on sundays.

9. It is illegal in Kentucky to carry an Ice Cream cone in your backpocket while on a sidewalk.

10. In California it is illegal to eat oranges while bathing. (Well, yeah. That one makes sense...)

Go ahead, submit yours too! If it's useless, no matter HOW useless, post it!

Well, your coke one reminded me that coca-cola used to have cocaine in it. They would advertise cocaine to kids back then as tooth-ache drops o_0

I got a couple,

1. In Bladworth, Saskatchewan, it is illegal to frown at cows

2. In Alaska,it is illegal to shoot at a moose from the window of an airplane or any other flying vehicle (yeah those people flying their UFO are a real problem)

3. In Texas it is illegal to put graffiti on someone else's cow.

4. In Jasmine, Saskatchewan, it is illegal for a cow to moo within 300 kilometer's of a private home.

5. In Omaha, Nebraska, it is against the law to burp or sneeze in a church.

Me too! I plan to get a commando raid together to stare at the mayor of Paris. Afterwards we all plan to buy scary hats and parade down the streets while eating onions. Anyone want in?

Number four kinda creeps me out I'm mean how is that even possible it takes both a male and a female but it's only a female

There is a lizard that can reproduce....but it is only one gender (female I figure :p)

Craziness.

Although, all of it's offspring are identical clones o_o
